Predicting the 2018 Arizona Cardinals
By Scott Allen
Week 14 – Detroit Lions
The almost annual you never know what you are going to get game with the Lions takes place this year back at UOP Stadium. The last time these two teams met was in the regular season opener last year.
In last year’s game the Cardinals jumped out to an early lead which they held until the start of the fourth quarter before being blasted. The Cardinals defense got tired.
The Lions still bring it with Matthew Stafford. However the Lions are 0-5 lifetime at UOP Stadium. The last visit was in 2014 when the Lions lost 14-6.
Before last season’s win by the Lions, the Cardinals had won seven consecutive meetings. Back at home for two of their final four games, this seems like a good opportunity to start a new winning streak against the Lions.
This also could be a good opportunity to make a final push if they are still in the thick of the NFC Wild Card race at this point. It won’t be easy but then again, why should it be?
