Arizona Cardinals: Former quarterback Palmer likes team chances

Not many are giving the Arizona Cardinals a chance to win next season, don’t count former quarterback Carson Palmer as one of the doubters
He could be saying it to appease his former team, the Arizona Cardinals. He might be saying it because he still has many former teammates on the roster. He might be saying it because it is true.
Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback went on nfl.com’s Dave Dameshek’s podcast recently and said he believes the Cardinals still have an opportunity to win. He believes the window is still open in Arizona.
Why wouldn’t he believe that though? Because some “experts” say it won’t happen? Listen, we all get the turnover on both sides of the ball, particularly on offense. Let’s be honest though, this defense actually could be better.
That’s a good thing because the defense is what helped the Cardinals to an 8-8 record last season with an ailing offense. The scheme changes to a 4-3 under new head coach Steve Wilks.
Chandler Jones lead the league in sacks last season. Markus Golden will return at some point early in the season if not maybe training camp. The Cardinals biggest question on defense is again at cornerback but that is being worked on.
The quarterback room got a makeover, so many don’t know how it will play out. If everyone stays healthy, Sam Bradford could be better in Arizona than Palmer was.
Don’t worry about rankings or Vegas odds or expert opinions. Certainly don’t take my word for it. I just have an opinion like everyone else. Mine happens to be this team will be good….if healthy.
None of us know what will happen until the Cardinals take the field in September. Let’s not count this team out though. They just had a very good draft.

Some want to rush quarterback Josh Rosen into starting. Many believe Bradford will get killed in week two against the Los Angeles Rams. Hey, the Rams upgraded their defense but let’s not just assume anything at this point.
