The latest odds on the Arizona Cardinals winning the Super Bowl in 2018 were released a few days ago

Even if fans are giving the Arizona Cardinals a chance, Las Vegas still doesn’t believe.  Of course not much has changed but we’ve passed the bulk of free agency and the draft.

The roster will have to prove itself on the field before we see any significant change. Currently the Cardinals stand at 100-1 odds to win the Super Bowl next February.

That is tied for the worst odds with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals, and Miami Dolphins.  That isn’t exactly considered good company.

The Cardinals, Browns, and Redskins all have new starting quarterbacks in 2018.  The Bengals can’t ever get passed the first round of the playoffs, nor can the Dolphins for that matter.

The odds make sense somewhat.  Do the Cardinals have better talent on the roster than 100-1 odds to win it all?  They sure do.

But the games aren’t played on paper.  The better odds come with better play on the field.  The New England Patriots have the best odds at 5-1 currently, no shocker there.

If the Cardinals start say, 3-1 or even 4-0 (not likely but certainly a possibility), do the odds shift then?  Probably but at that point are there enough believers to put money on them at that point?

Right now, it wouldn’t hurt to put a few bucks down if you can spare it but don’t go crazy.  We don’t know what the 2018 version of the Cardinals will provide?

Staying healthy will be the key.  Performing well comes next.  Just see new quarterback Sam Bradford on that one.

Bradford and the offensive line will be key to improving on last year’s 8-8 record.  The defense should still be very good, albeit some of the players have changed.

Save your money for now but don’t be surprised if you are running to put a wager down as the season progresses.  The Cardinals could still end up being one of the most underrated teams in 2018.
