There is a still a lot to learn about the 2018 Arizona Cardinals, including which players could surprise in training camp

Looking at the Arizona Cardinals offense, there will be new faces at quarterback, offensive line, and possibly at receiver, tight end, and running back as well. The question is, which players at each position are poised to make surprise runs at the 53-man roster?

The only surprise at quarterback will be once the season begins.  It will be all about how long Sam Bradford starts before Steve Wilks goes to Mike Glennon or possibly Josh Rosen?

At running back, we know David Johnson is the number one.  Elijhaa Penny is likely number two.  After though?  Rookie Chase Edmonds is a good guess.

What about T.J. Logan though?  His name has not come up much over the past several weeks.  He will be in the mix in the return game.  However, don’t count him out getting some carries as well.

On the offensive line is where we will likely see the most change.  They’ve signed a few new guys to the line to improve the abysmal year the line had in 2017.

Look at veterans Vinston Painter and Andre Smith.  The most talk they got was when they were signed.  One of these guys may end up being more than just another face in the crowd.

At tight end, they currently have seven of them on the roster.  They will likely keep just three, four maximum.  Don’t be surprised to hear the name Gabe Holmes a lot this preseason.

At receiver, there is so much going on there, the Cardinals may not even be done making moves there.  From the current bunch, a couple of names that you might hear a lot this preseason will be Carlton Agudosi and Trent Sherfield.

The receiver room right now however has 12 players in it.  That was the same number they started camp with last season.  Bruce Arians praised them early on but basically said everyone but Fitz was terrible early on in camp.  It’s not about the quantity but the quality.
