Arizona Cardinals players have been able to enjoy their freedom from the football field for the last month

Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald and cornerback Patrick Peterson played some golf in Scotland in June.  That might be the highlight of the trips Cardinals players have taken since the team broke minicamp in June.

With just 12 days left until the team reports to training camp in Glendale, they aren’t the only ones who have been enjoying their freedom from football.  Once camp starts, it will quickly become a daily grind of football football football.

New Cardinals cornerback Bene Benwickere spent time on the beach with his son.  Running back David Johnson vacationed with his young son and wife, sharing beautiful pictures online of them.

Rookie running back Chase Edmonds has his sister and now mom in Arizona with him.  However another perk of coming to the Cardinals is it is a short trip over to Disneyland in California.  He recently shared pictures with his daughter there.

Not only is linebacker Markus Golden preparing to return from a torn ACL suffered last October, he is doing some radio work as well.  He was pictured in Missouri, his alma mater, doing work in the studio.

It’s great that we all have a chance to follow our favorite players online and see they are all human too.  It also is a good time to remember in just a matter of two weeks they will be back together on a football field.

It has been six and a half months since the Cardinals last took the field for a game.  They’ve had some OTA’s and minicamps but the work starts for the upcoming season at the end of next week.

Players will be leaving friends and family and move into Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, which is right next door to University of Phoenix Stadium.  Until then, hopefully these players enjoy their families and what’s left of rest and relaxation.
