Single game tickets go on sale for the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday but if you live in Arizona you are going to get a small advantage

Get ready to help protect the nest this Saturday.  For those Arizona Cardinals fans not holding season ticket packages, single game tickets are going on sale.

At 10:00 a.m. Saturday, tickets go on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster.  Buyer beware however, as if you don’t live in Arizona, you won’t be able to buy tickets until noon.

It is an ongoing tradition that the team makes single game tickets available only to those residents of Arizona for a short period of time.  Other teams have had similar deals.

While it doesn’t guarantee a Cardinals fan will get tickets, it sure raises the chances that one will.  By having Ticketmaster exclusivity on Saturday and Sunday, that means only online and phone sales will be available.

That is until Monday comes around.  If there are still tickets remaining, those will also be available at team headquarters in Tempe or at the University of Phoenix Stadium box office.

Some in the past have viewed limiting sales of tickets to local zip codes as a form of discrimination.  The seller certainly though has the right to allow that restriction.

With the thousands of fans of others teams in Arizona, there is still a good possibility that the single game tickets will make their way into the hands of Cardinals opponents.  That’s just how life is as a sports fan in Arizona.

The Cardinals open the season at home on Sunday September 9th against the Washington Redskins.  They also have September home games on the 23rd against the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks.

The Cardinals have two home games in October.  They include a Thursday night game on the 18th against the Denver Broncos and a Sunday game on the 28th against the San Francisco 49ers.

Just one home game in November at home for the Cardinals.  They host the Oakland Raiders on the 18th.

December is a little more favorable.  They have home games on December 9th against the Detroit Lions and on the 23rd against the Los Angeles Rams.
