The Arizona Cardinals had yet one more off the field incident make news on Tuesday

Just hours after the general manager of the Arizona Cardinals, Steve Keim, plead guilty to extreme DUI and faced a fine of $200,000 and a five week suspension from the team, more bad news hit.  One of their players was arrested over the weekend.

Tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, expected to be a big part of the offense this season, was arrested in Scottsdale for trespassing and disorderly conduct.  The story is he needed to use the restroom at the W in Scottsdale and was denied use but went to use it anyway.

It sounds like there is more to the story but we will let that all be figured out on its own.  What is the thought here is football can’t get here fast enough.

I’m not sure what is going on in the summer air in Arizona, but something is afoot.  The Cardinals need to return to the distraction of football and not everyday life.

Sure, everyday life will be there but now three incidents off the field (if you want to include team president Michael Bidwill’s comments made last week on Donald Trump’s selection for Supreme Court) are a bit of cause for alarm.

Yes, if we’ve been given all the facts of the story, it seems like ridiculous charges against Seals-Jones.  But trespassing is trespassing.  He walked into the wrong hotel to try and use the restroom.

The Cardinals are already facing some negative attention on the team Keim and company have built this offseason.  There are not a lot of people counting on the Cardinals doing much this season.

The negative press certainly doesn’t help.  It will be up to the team to come together starting July 27th and start putting a positive product together on the field with a new coaching staff and new quarterback.
