The Arizona Cardinals preseason starts on Saturday August 11th against the Los Angeles Chargers

Training camp starts next weekend for the Arizona Cardinals.  The preseason is not far behind two weeks later on August 11th.

With that in mind, we must also be keenly aware of the injuries the Cardinals suffered last season, some of which took place in the preseason, some early in the regular season.  While kid gloves may not be needed, there should be an amount of precaution the team should take with some players in the preseason.

Everyone who is healthy enough to play in preseason games should get at least some reps.  If a player is healthy, I don’t want to see their first game action be on September 9th against the Washington Redskins.

Even so, there are some players the Cardinals should limit time on the playing field, not necessarily in practice though.  Injuries are going to happen in this game.

The Cardinals had their share though in 2017.  It would be nice to see the tables turn a little.  Injuries have dominated the headlines over the past two seasons for them.

Here are five players the Cardinals should be very careful with this preseason.  They should be careful with everyone but these five should be huge difference makers this season.
