Sam Bradford

He has been tabbed the starting quarterback by new head coach Steve Wilks.  He should be.  As long as he is healthy, he needs to be the guy this season despite calls for rookie Josh Rosen.

That said, many fans don’t give him much of a chance to make it out of September before he gets hurt.  Some actually believe Bradford just won’t perform well and therefore Rosen should start anyway.

While that shouldn’t happen, Bradford will get preseason reps as long as his body allows.  But Bradford has been around long enough to know what he is doing.

The Cardinals should handle Bradford much like they did Carson Palmer in the preseason over the past few seasons.  Yes, he needs to play, but give Rosen and Mike Glennon the bulk of the preseason reps.

He should play no more than a series in the preseason opener.  Give him maybe a couple series in preseason game two.  Maybe be plays a quarter or so in game three, then give him game four off completely.
