The first weekend of Arizona Cardinals training camp is in the books and a lot of talk is about quarterback Sam Bradford
It would seem to me scouring social media, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Sam Bradford hasn’t won every one over but has been throwing some nice balls in training camp so far. He also still has his detractors.
Because of his injury history there are a lot of skeptics, even among Cardinals fans. For instance, several people commented on how they saw Bradford limp in practice on Monday.
Instantly people start wondering again why the Cardinals signed him? Let’s remember what I said the other day, we can’t ride every moment expecting it to be a life altering situation.
There has been some worry from people about Bradford not running with the team on opening day of camp. I’d say let’s not read too much into it until we are given a reason to do so.
Camp observers over the last three days have described Bradford as being accurate. I’ve also seen him describer as poised.
Cardinals offensive lineman D.J. Humphries even had some great praise for him. He insinuated that Bradford was a gift from heaven. That is a very interesting take.
Even rookie and franchise quarterback Josh Rosen showered Bradford with praise over the weekend. He believes the Cardinals are very fortunate to have him and is happy to be learning from him.
Even if privately Rosen wants to be the guy, and what competitive player wouldn’t want to be, he is saying all the right things publicly. A level of maturity has seem to hit the young man.
We’ll see how the limp people saw on Monday works out. No one from the team has mentioned anything. I think at this point it is going to just come with the territory.
Bradford still has to get himself in a game situation before he gains more believers. Even then I’m not sure about that. What I do know is we can’t worry about every time he gets hit. This is football and it will happen.
