The Cardinals will start quarterback Sam Bradford but will play a lot of rookie Josh Rosen. The Chargers have starting quarterback Philip Rivers back once again but as of Thursday evening it had not been decided how much, if at all, he will play.
The Chargers have Cardale Jones and Geno Smith as backups. Expect one of both of them to see some good time on Saturday night.
Game one of the preseason is generally about backups and guys fighting for jobs in September going forward. That said both teams will play some starters early on.
