J.J. Nelson

You might be saying to yourself if you watched Saturday night’s game, how does J.J. Nelson make this list?  It was brief but his time on the field against the Chargers was heavily reminiscent of last season.

Nelson has the speed but he had trouble grabbing passes.  That’s kind of a necessity in his line of profession.

He was targeted one time on Saturday.  He dropped the pass.  Again, it wasn’t a perfect pass but when it was in the air, it looked catchable.

He had some coverage on him but Nelson dropped the ball.  At this point he needs to catch every ball that comes his way.  Any drops is a negative at this point.

The point is there has been no movement in the other direction, clearly.  He continues to be a liability.  If he doesn’t show any improvement over the last few preseason games, his time in Arizona will quickly come to an end.
