The Arizona Cardinals head east for some Sunday Night Football action preseason style

It’s week three of the preseason, which means the Arizona Cardinals will be playing starters for a good portion of the first half, we think.  For their opponent, the Dallas Cowboys?  Maybe not so much.

What: Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys

Where: AT&T Stadium, Dallas, Texas

When: 5:00 p.m. Arizona Time

TV: NBC 12 (Phoenix) – Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michelle Tafoya

Radio: Arizona Sports 98.7 FM – Dave Pasch, Ron Wolfley, Paul Calvisi

The Cardinals have some guys banged up but nothing major that we know of.  Quarterback Josh Rosen has been hampered with an injury this past week.  We also don’t know the status of defensive tackles Corey Peters or Robert Nkemdiche.

Rosen has an injured hand and will reportedly be a gametime decision on Sunday.  As for the Cowboys, don’t look for quarterback Dak Prescott or running back Zeke Elliot.  Both are done for the preseason.

The Cardinals have preseason victories in their first two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints.  The Cowboys meanwhile have lost their first two preseason games, close ones to the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins.

Even if Rosen doesn’t play, expect to see Sam Bradford for a little bit but the Cardinals should continue to be cautious with him as well.  If Rosen can’t go, we’ll likely see a lot of Mike Glennon on Sunday night.

It would be nice though for the nation to get a look at Rosen if he can go.  This is the only scheduled Sunday night game (for now) this season.

After Sunday night, it will be a very short week to turn around and finish off the preseason against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.  Don’t expect any starters to play on Thursday.

By this time next week we will know who has made the initial 53-man roster.  However expect a lot of happenings on the waiver wire this week.

Next. Cardinals young receivers dueling it out for number two. dark

This is usually considered the last regular season tune up for the starters.  There are still a lot of roster decisions that aren’t a lock.  Hopefully all play smart and stay healthy.
