Arizona Cardinals: 3 who earned their spots vs Cowboys
By Scott Allen
T.J. Logan
Until Sunday night he was fourth on the depth chart but was still a better than 50/50 chance to make the 53-man roster. His special teams were going to likely get him on the roster.
Now you can add running back duties as a reason he will be kept. After the season-ending injury to D.J. Foster on Sunday night, Logan showed he’s ready to step into the number three spot on the depth chart.
Logan ran off a 59-yard touchdown run. He took a hit and was able to keep his feet under him and scamper down the sidelines.
Logan has already impressed in kickoff returns, which he will be the number one guy at if the Cardinals keep him. At this point, they almost have to keep him.
Sure, the Cardinals could find another back to take up the third spot, but for now it should be Logan’s to lose. Coach Steve Wilks sounded optimistic this would be the case with Logan now that Foster is out.
