Chris Campbell

When the Cardinals selected Campbell in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft back in April, it was thought he was immediately going to push for a starting spot opposite Patrick Peterson.  He was available the entire preseason and training camp after spending a few days on the PUP list i July.

Campbell, out of Penn State, didn’t make heads spin enough I guess in August and now he is on the outside looking in.  Will someone jump and claim him on Sunday?

It might happen but if it doesn’t, this is one of the guys that makes the most sense to bring back. The Cardinals kept five cornerbacks on the roster though.

It might be tough for Campbell to break the active roster this season but this would give him a job to spend the season learning and maybe make the team coming out of camp in 2019?  Releasing him Saturday means the Cardinals are taking a chance they’ll get him back if he’s someone they do like.
