The Arizona Cardinals kept five cornerbacks on the 53-man roster

One of the most talked about positions on the Arizona Cardinals roster in the offseason and training camp, not only by us but by many fans, was the cornerback.  The Cardinals have been looking for a starter opposite Patrick Peterson for years.

Justin Bethel didn’t work out.  Then they tried Brandon Williams.  They drafted Chris Campbell this year only to cut him at the end of camp.  They didn’t bring him back to the practice squad as some thought they would.

However they did find a couple of guys through trade and free agency that may end up paying dividends for them this year.  Until they get out there and lace them up for real this season, we just still don’t know.

But, they keep trying.  Fans have their favorites but you’ll never find agreement on whether the Cardinals have the right guy now or if they already had him.

For now, they have five of them on the roster.  We will take a brief look at each one here.  Let’s just hope it turns out they finally found someone who can be consistent enough to keep their starting spot.
