Jamar Taylor

The Cardinals made this trade because of Taylor’s history.  They knew they had starter talent with Taylor, even though he was coming over from the Cleveland Browns.

Taylor had a pretty good camp, nothing Earth-shattering.  However he too, like Peterson, can shut down the opposition’s passing game with the best of them.

Taylor has 23 passes defensed over the past two seasons as a starter for the Browns.  He had three interceptions within those passes defensed.

That’s all you want out of your corner.  Yes, the interceptions are nice and hopefully grab one or two every once in awhile.  However if your corner has the ability like Taylor to knock passes away with regularity, then that will keep the opposition off the scoreboard.

Taylor will have some competition though in keeping his starting spot.  He will have to go out and prove he can shut down defenses here in the NFC West, a division all of a sudden full of good offenses.
