Another week, another very long injury report for the Arizona Cardinals

Amazingly for as little as they have done on the field as a team in the first two weeks, the Arizona Cardinals once again start the new week with a long injury report.  They had a number of players make the list on Wednesday.

Three players for the Cardinals did not practice.  One of them was receiver Larry Fitzgerald.  That was to be expected given the hamstring injury suffered last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

The other two players who did not practice on Wednesday were defensive tackle Olsen Pierre and linebacker Dennis Gardeck.  Pierre has been out since the start of the season with a toe injury.

In addition, the Cardinals had five players limited in practice.  That list included nose tackle Robert Nkemdiche.  He has actually been a bright spot on the line.

Other inactives included quarterback Sam Bradford.  His injury was listed as non-injury related, meaning he was given most of practice off.

Offensive lineman Andre Smith, who missed the game against the Rams was limited.  Others limited were safety Rudy Ford and offensive lineman Mike Iupati.

The others listed on the report but practiced in full were offensive lineman Korey Cunningham, defensive end Markus Golden, and tight end Jermaine Gresham.  That is a nice sight to see, both of them practicing in full after missing the first two weeks of the season.

Coach Steve Wilks sounded very positive about each of them on Wednesday.  Hopefully this means we will see them both return to action on Sunday.

As for the Chicago Bears, Sunday’s opponent, just defensive back DeAndre Houston-Carson appeared on their injury report.  He is listed to have a forearm injury.

Don't expect Antonio Brown. dark. Next

As for Fitz, despite his not practicing on Wednesday, Wilks did say he expected him to play on Sunday.  Let’s hope so, he’s all the Cardinals have going at receiver for the moment.
