The injury report on Friday for the Arizona Cardinals left the door open for hope on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings

After Thursday’s practice, it wasn’t looking too great for the Arizona Cardinals health-wise.  While Friday’s injury report didn’t exactly make us jump for job, it did look more promising.

That being said, everyone practiced on Friday, at least in a limited fashion.  On Thursday two of those players did not practice, offensive linemen Mike Iupati and Andre Smith.

A total of six players are listed as questionable for Saturday.  The other four outside of Iupati and Smith are running back Chase Edmonds, defensive end Markus Golden, tackle D.J. Humphries, and nose tackle Robert Nkemdiche.

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who had been limited on Thursday and did not practice on Wednesday, practiced in full on Friday.  Fitz has been slow to start this season, is not getting involved in the offense.

It has been concerning that the Cardinals are failing to throw the ball to Fitz.  He has yet to score a touchdown.  That needs to change soon.

Also notable practicing in full on Friday was tight end Jermaine Gresham.  Like Golden, he has been up and down as far as availability this season.  They both had season ending injuries in 2017.

Safeties Budda Baker and Tre Boston, both who have been playing very well, practiced in full as well on Friday.  If the Cardinals want any chance of at least slowing down the Vikings offensive attack, those two need to play.

The Cardinals will be facing a Vikings team that has already announced four players out for Sunday’s matchup.  Most notable missing for Minnesota is defensive end Everson Griffen.  He is out dealing with some mental health issues.  We wish him the best.

Also defensive end Tashawn Bower, tackle Riley Reiff, and safety Andrew Sendejo are out.  Running back Dalvin Cook is officially questionable against the Cardinals.
