The Arizona Cardinals named their seven inactive players against the Minnesota Vikings

This week, the Arizona Cardinals will have the services of both defensive end Markus Golden and tight end Jermaine Gresham available.  Golden was questionable heading into Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

It is great news the Cardinals will have one of their top pass rushers available against a challenging Vikings offense.  Having Golden available could take some pressure off of defensive end Chandler Jones.

As for the backup quarterback situation, once again former starter Sam Bradford will be inactive.  Mike Glennon will be the backup to starter Josh Rosen.

The Cardinals will have their best available on Sunday at receiver.  Larry Fitzgerald is active and will play.  The two receivers that are inactive are Trent Sherfield, and newcomer Kendall Wright.  With only being with the Cardinals for five days, it is no surprise the Cardinals left him on the bench this week.

Nose tackle Robert Nkemdiche is also active, which is great news.  He has played well early on in the season.  The only defensive lineman inactive on Sunday is Ifeadi Odenigbo.

The other three inactive players for the Cardinals on Sunday are on offense.  Two of them are on the offensive line, Korey Cunningham and Blaine Clausell.  Running back T.J. Logan is the other inactive.

As for the Minnesota Vikings, the big inactive news is that running back Dalvin Cook will not play on Sunday.  It had been reported he would be active and see limited action.

They will also be without defensive ends Everson Griffen and Tashawn Bower, safety Andrew Sendejo, left tackle Riley Reiff, linebacker Devante Downs, and quarterback Kyle Slotter.  Sendejo is a big loss in their secondary.

The Cardinals still have to deal with a potent passing attack from quarterback Kirk Cousins and their receiving core, so they aren’t completely off the hook with no Cook on Sunday.  They will need a huge performance from many to come away with victory on Sunday.
