Know they enemy: Arizona Cardinals host Broncos
By Scott Allen
Ahead of the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, we asked site expert Ty Walden of the Broncos FanSided site Predominantly Orange several questions
It seems like just several days ago we were talking about the latest Arizona Cardinals loss, this one to the Minnesota Vikings. Oh wait, yes it was just this past Sunday. Now, on a short week, they are preparing to take on the the Denver Broncos.
The game at State Farm Stadium starts at 5:20 p.m. Arizona time. It is the only national television broadcast of the Cardinals this season. That is a good thing.
Ahead of the game, we had a chance to talk to our counterpart at the Broncos FanSided site Predominantly Orange and ask him his thoughts on the Cardinals and Thursday night’s game. He had some interesting answers.
RZ: What are your thoughts on Von Miller‘s comments this week about facing the Cardinals?
PO: I honestly had to do a double take when I heard them. But it showed to me that he is confident that Denver can beat Arizona. He’s ready to help this team snap their losing streak. I always think of it as one game at a time and it starts on Thursday.
RZ: Is Case Keenum the right guy at quarterback to get the Broncos back to the playoffs and beyond?
PO: Can see him being the guy for right now. For playoffs it depends if he can show a bit more of what he had in Minnesota in order for me to feel a bit more confident in him. Limit the turnovers and he can be a solid player.
Getting a positive perspective of an offensive and defensive player is not surprising at all. Denver was expected to be in the mix but so far has just a 2-4 record heading into Glendale. Anything can happen Thursday night and we all know what Keenum can do against the Cardinals, as we saw during his time with the Los Angeles Rams.
