A lot still to work on for the Arizona Cardinals but these five players enjoyed a nice afternoon at State Farm Stadium

Many of us spent Sunday afternoon yelling at our televisions, yelling at players if you were at the game, expecting another Arizona Cardinals loss.  It didn’t happen.

Thanks to these five guys, the Cardinals not only stayed in the game but helped out in the end.  now as a result, they sit at 2-6 instead of 1-7 headed into the bye week.

Larry Fitzgerald

He spiked the ball for the first time in his 15-year career.  That’s saying something.  he did that after catching a pass for a two point conversion to seal the deal for the Cardinals.

He caught 8 passes for 102-yards and a touchdown in addition to the two pointer.  he finally had a day we had all hoped we would see every Sunday this season.

Maybe this is the start of something for him?  Maybe all it did take was to make Byron Leftwich the offensive coordinator?

Whatever it was hopefully the Cardinals game plan for that again.  The Cardinals may not be a playoff team but they need Fitz in the second half of the season in some pretty tough matchups coming up.

Oh and let’s hope his reason for the spike has gone by the wayside.  His son Devin did not want to come to the game on Sunday, the reason Fitz gave for the spike.  Hopefully dad gave him something to cheer about and come to the last three home games in 2018.
