The Arizona Cardinals injury report on Wednesday once again listed a number of players who didn’t practice

Just another week of practice for the Arizona Cardinals.  As they prepare to host the Oakland Raiders this Sunday at State Farm Stadium, they are dealing with more players not practicing.

Nine players did not practice on Wednesday, only two of them were not injury related.  Three other players were limited.

I guess that is to be somewhat expected with at this point of the season but it seems to be a recurring theme with the Cardinals over the past couple of seasons.  They can’t stay healthy.

The banged up offensive line remains, well, banged up.  D.J. Humphries and Mike Iupati did not practice.  Jeremy Vukovich was limited.  This is a line that just lost Justin Pugh for the season to injured reserve thanks to a torn MCL.

The defensive line is a bit banged up too.  While Corey Peters was limited, Robert Nkemdiche did not practice.  Rodney Gunter missed practice but it was not due to injury.

The other player not practicing on Wednesday was receiver Larry Fitzgerald.  He was said to have a veteran day off.  No issues there.

Linebacker Josh Bynes was limited and safeties Budda Baker and Rudy Ford and kicker Phil Dawson all missed practice.  Baker was shaken up in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with an injured knee.

The Cardinals seem to be lucky to get the Raiders this week but even as bad as the Raiders have been this season, nothing is a given, especially with this Cardinals team.  There are no guarantees.

This might be as close to a predictable victory for the Cardinals over the last seven games as they will get.  Certainly not having a full deck may not hurt as much this week as say it would over the next couple of weeks as they will play the Los Angeles Chargers and Green Bay Packers.
