The Arizona Cardinals inactives against the Atlanta Falcons have been announced

It is entirely possible we never see Chad Williams play for the Arizona Cardinals again.  He is listed as inactive once again.  He’s been about as close to a bust as can be.

The second-year receiver has not been able to stay on the field this season, one that high expectations after sitting most of his rookie season.  He is one of seven incatives.

The other inactive players for the Cardinals are cornerbacks Quinten Rollins and Dontae Johnson.  Also they will be without defensive end Vontarrius Dora, linebacker Jonathan Anderson. offensive lineman Zack Goldich, and tight end Darrell Daniels.

The one name not on the inactive list on Sunday is linebacker Deone Bucannon.  He has been dealing with a chest injury.

Bucannon has been in and out of the lineup all season, not playing much early in the season.  One has to wonder if he too has a job with the Cardinals in 2019?

The Cardinals are going to have to rebuild their entire receiver core.  Williams has one foot out the door and Larry Fitzgerald is right on the fence of retirement.

Christian Kirk, who was having a nice rookie season until he broke his foot two weeks ago at the Green Bay Packers, should be a huge part of the new core.  He likely goes into next season as the number one if Fitz does in fact retire.

At linebacker, it’s a complete mess.  Bucannon appears to be trying to play this season out but that position has been inconsistent at best over the last couple of seasons.  Number one linebacker Josh Bynes was also lost for the season a couple of weeks ago, going on injured reserve.

Most names on today’s inactive list were names we didn’t expect to see on the roster at this point in the season.  Injuries happen, but this one has been especially brutal for the Cardinals
