The Arizona Cardinals are one of eight NFL teams currently looking for a new head coach

It has been a whirlwind week in the NFL with rumors of this coach coming here and that coach going there.  For the Arizona Cardinals, there have been a lot of rumors as to who has even interviewed for the position.

The Cardinals have reportedly interviewed at least Adam Gase and Jim Caldwell.  They are supposedly scheduled to interview Rams quarterback coach Zac Taylor this week.

There are some coaches however that are in the Cardinals rumor mill or otherwise that would not be a good fit.  These guys can just as well stay out.

Kliff Kingsbury

We get it.  He’s an offensive coach.  His teams at Texas Tech put up a lot of sexy offensive numbers.  But would that translate to the NFL?

Depending on who you listen to, the Cardinals may or may not have interviewed Kingsbury already with some knowing it.  One guy says it happened, another says it never happened.  There were even rumors he had the job last night.

The only way he fits is if he brings in a very smart defensive coordinator.  Even then, there are reasons Texas Tech was done with him.
