7. Josh Bynes fumble return

Bigger than the timely sack of Patrick Mahomes was Bynes stripping San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard of the football and returning the fumble 23-yards for a score. It was a day of defense for the Cardinals.

In a game where the Cardinals were outgained 447-yards to 220-yards of offense, the defense had themselves a day, despite the amount of yards given up.  Bynes and the defense came up big when they had to to preserve a 28-18 victory.

Bynes had nine tackles that day, including a sack in addition to the forced fumble.  The fumble was one of five turnovers created by the Cardinals defense that day, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

None were bigger than Bynes’ score however.  It was only appropriate that Bynes amazing play was a huge difference maker and the only defensive score in a game where the defense had to come up big with so little offense.
