5. Miracle third down play
The game was supposed to be over before it began. The lowly Cardinals going into Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers, in December of all times. Turns out, it was nowhere near as daunting a task as predicted.
The Cardinals had stayed with the Packers all afternoon and were tied at 17 in the fourth quarter. It looked like the Cardinals were going to stall on third and long as they were trying to drive for a go-ahead score.
There were just over four and a half minutes remaining in the game. The Cardinals were faced with a third and 23. Impossible, right?
Not so impossible when you have legend future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald on board. Rosen scrambled and seemingly found Fitz for a 32-yard pass completion. The play started from their own 12-yard line.
Eight plays later the Cardinals got a go-ahead and the eventual winning field goal from Gonzalez. The Cardinals left Green Bay with a 20-17 victory. Green Bay ended up firing head coach Mike McCarthy after this one.
