3. Opening bomb
Talk about a play we didn’t see coming. The Cardinals wasted no time getting on the board in their game at the San Francisco 49ers.
One the very first offensive play for the Cardinals, Rosen hit rookie receiver Christian Kirk for a 75-yard bomb. This was a quick response to the 49ers first offensive drive that took five minutes and 11 seconds to go up 6-0 after a missed extra-point.
Just 10 seconds later the Cardinals were on the board and took a 7-6 lead. The Cardinals would not trail the rest of the afternoon.
As a common theme, the good play vibes did not continue. Rosen ended up with just 170-yards passing for the day and Kirk with 85-yards receiving.
Still, it is plays like this we know these guys are able to complete. It showcased what possibly could be to come for years to come. The Cardinals hopefully will see much more of this in Kingsbury’s offense in 2019.
