One of the greatest areas of need for the Arizona Cardinals in 2019 is an upgraded offensive line

There is no question the Arizona Cardinals need help on the offensive line.  Only Mason Cole, Justin Pugh, Korey Cunningham, D.J. Humphries, and A.Q. Shipley seem like sure returns.

Joe Barksdale, who was just picked up in December off of waivers from the Los Angeles Chargers, is also a good possibility to return.  We’ll see which direction the Cardinals want to go there with his inconsistencies.

The Cardinals will need an upgrade at guard with the void of Mike Iupati‘s contract.  They need players they can count on staying healthy, which has been quite the chore over the past couple of seasons.

A.J. Cann

The free agent guard from the Jacksonville Jaguars is a decent run blocker who could come in and replace Iupati.  A huge plus was that he stayed healthy the entire 2018 season.  He played the most offensive snaps for the Jaguars with 931.

He could play right guard with Pugh on the left side.  Pugh would work on either side but Pugh has started 26 games at left guard and none on the right.

Cann might be able to come cheaper than others as well.  He made just $843,149 last season.  The bank would not be broken bringing him in.
