The official pairings announcement will come out on Tuesday for the Waste Management Phoenix Open however there will be at least one Arizona Cardinals player participating

We don’t know if Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be participating, however cornerback Patrick Peterson is scheduled to participate in Wednesday’s Pro-Am at the Waste Management Annexus Pro Am at the Scottsdale TPC.  There has been no official word on Fitz joining yet.

Fitz would be a welcome addition to the Pro-Am field.  He has played in the last four Pro-Am’s at the Phoenix Open.  He hit a hole-in-one a couple of weeks ago while playing with President Barack Obama.

He also won the Pro-Am at the Pebble Beach tournament last year.  The guy knows how to swing a golf club.  Even if he doesn’t participate, Cardinals fans still have Peterson to cheer on.

Also, Cardinals fans will be able to see former Cardinals and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians on Wednesday.  It will be interesting to see the reception he gets as it will be his first public appearance in the Valley since landing his new job with the Bucs.

As for Peterson, he’s had a busy week.  He was in the Pro Bowl on Sunday in Orlando.  He did start the game for the NFC but did not register any statistics.

There are no other current Cardinals at this time scheduled to participate in the the Pro-Am. Former Cardinals running back Emmitt Smith however is scheduled to play according to the Waste Management Open website.

If you do decide to attend on Wednesday, general admission tickets will cost $45, which is the same price for admission on Thursday and Friday for the first two rounds of the open.  The weather is expected to be warm and sunny during the day with a little chill to start the morning.

Arizona Cardinals not projected to win much in 2019. dark. Next

We’ll wait and see the official pairings announcement on Tuesday.  Hopefully we will see Fitz’s name on the list.
