The Arizona Cardinals may move on from their current core of tight ends, these three may be options

The Arizona Cardinals are in need of tight end help.  It is no secret that group struggled in 2018.  There has been no official decisions to those already on the roster but the tandem of Jermaine Gresham and Ricky Seals-Jones just weren’t cutting it together.

There are a number of free agent tight ends available this offseason.  Some are more intriguing than others, as is the case with any position.

There are three tight ends that would fit nicely in Arizona.  Actually there are four but we talked about one of them last week in Cincinnati’s Tyler Eifert.  He would come with a hefty price tag despite his injury history.

Jeff Heuerman

Heuerman’s numbers with the Denver Broncos in 2018 were modst but better than what you could find in Arizona with Jermaine Gresham.  He had 31 receptions for 281-yards and two touchdowns, three receptions fewer than Seals-Jones.

He would come over with a member of the Cardinals coaching staff already familiar with him.  Vance Joseph, last year’s head coach in Denver, is now the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals.

Although Joseph coaches defense, he would have knowledge of him and can share that with the offensive coaching staff.  The Ohio State product would be a good signing but it may be hard to see Denver parting with him so soon.
