The Arizona Cardinals will have the first pick of the NFL Draft along with six other picks the weekend of April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee

There has been so much talk about what the Arizona Cardinals will do with the first round pick and what fans want them or think they should do.  We look our first look at what should happen over the course of the entire draft.

Round 1, pick 1 – Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

The popular pick here is Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa.  That pick isn’t necessarily wrong but based on the Cardinals needs, defensive tackle makes more sense.

That puts Williams at the top of the board.  Most boards have Williams in the top five picks of the draft.  Drafting him at number one would not be a stretch for the Cardinals.

Williams had 71 tackles for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2018.  Of those 71 tackles, he had eight sacks, 12 quarterback hits overall.  Of those 71 tackles, 19 and a half of them went for a loss.

The Cardinals need help on the edge and on the interior of the offensive line, so drafting for either here with the number one spot is not a gamble.  They have dealt with a lot of struggle with the interior of the defensive line over the last couple of seasons.
