Arizona Cardinals: 5 views of first pick in draft
By Scott Allen
Kristopher Knox, Bleacher Report
Knox bucks the trend and goes with Kentucky edge rusher Josh Allen as the pick for the Cardinals at number one. He’s not the first one to suggest it but seeing this prediction far less than a couple of weeks ago.
He doesn’t think the Cardinals will draft a quarterback early because they have Rosen. He also points out how the Cardinals came out last week and threw support at Rosen publicly.
Not many seemed to listen to Kingsbury when he proclaimed that “Josh is our guy” last week. Either that or they just flat out didn’t believe him.
However, if the Cardinals do go after an edge rusher, if they don’t like what they see in Bosa, Allen could be the guy if they are sold on going after an edge rusher rather than an interior offensive lineman.
If he isn’t the guy for the Cardinals, then he will still go high in the first round. If the Cardinals trade down with a team say like, Oakland, for their number four pick, I could see them trying to grab Allen there if he is still on the board.
