The Arizona Cardinals should look heavily into the crop of players that could be cut, as they always do.

Like every year, outstanding players across the NFL will get the call that their current teams will no longer employ them. The Arizona Cardinals are all too familiar with the concept, as they made one of many league-wide star cuts during the 2018 off-season in parting ways with Tyrann Mathieu.

2019 will likely be the same, as multiple older stars should be cut from their respective teams. Luckily, Cardinals fans everywhere can exhale a deep breath as their fan favorites will likely remain Cardinals.

Steve Keim has been known for signing veteran talent that is considered used, or expired goods to their releasing team or others around the league. He’s brought players like Chris Johnson, Dwight Freeney, and Karlos Dansby along over the years; and despite their elder NFL status at the time of signing, they were useful players for the Arizona Cardinals.

During the 2019 off-season alone, Keim has brought in three released players that expect to be key contributors; tight end Charles Clay, edge rusher Brooks Reed, and cornerback Robert Alford. If the same trend continues for Keim, he very well could bring in any of these players mentioned, despite being thought of as replaceable to their current teams.
