The Arizona Cardinals need to bolster their bolster depth chart, they could look at some rising names in the Alliance of American Football to do so.

Through seven weeks of AAF football, some once forgotten about NFL players or overlooking draft prospects have started to make a name for themselves. The Arizona Cardinals should be looking at some names in the new league in order to bolster their receiving core.

After the AAF season ends on April 27th, all players will be eligible to sign contracts with NFL teams. Despite players being allocated by their college or former NFL/CFL teams, there isn’t an NFL team with priority over the others; meaning the Arizona Cardinals could acquire any player they choose from the AAF.

The Cardinals should be fairly familiar with one team in particular — the Arizona Hotshots, who play in the Arizona State Sun Devils football stadium in Tempe. The Hotshots run a high powered offense and run a very similar defense to the Cardinals (3-4). While this article is about the receivers in particular, don’t be surprised to see Steve Keim and company to take a look at Hotshots’ stars including former NFL linebacker Steven Johnson.

Listed are five AAF receivers that deserve another shot at the NFL. Don’t be surprised if you see a familiar Arizona name in the mix as well.
