12. Damiere Byrd

A lot of fans were asking themselves who this guy was when the Cardinals signed him as a free agent away from the Carolina Panthers.  People who know him say they like his speed.

The Cardinals need to make splashes at receiver this offseason to upgrade the core.  However this may not be one of those pickups that immediately pays dividends.

Maybe the Cardinals know something we don’t?  His little playing time in Carolina certainly looks to increase in Arizona.

Byrd will certainly be down the depth chart a bit but right now figures to be fifth or sixth to start out with.  As someone with minimum production in the NFL so far, he has a lot to prove to the Cardinals and to fans.

Last season Byrd had just one reception.  He had 10 in 2017 and just one in 2016.  That’s 12 receptions over three seasons.  That will definitely need to improve in the desert.
