9. Brooks Reed

Reed is another local guy.  He played college ball at the University of Arizona.  He was one of the first players signed in the offseason after the Atlanta Falcons released him.

After the Falcons released the eight year linebacker caught the eye of the Cardinals quickly.  Linebacker was identified rather quickly by many as a deficiency on the roster.  Reed was unemployed a total of three days.

Reed started with the Houston Texans in 2011, drafted in the second round.  He played with them until the end of the 2014 season.  In 2015 he headed east to the Falcons.

He has 21.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception over his career.  The 32-year old has 276 career tackles.

He too signed a one-year contract.  Let’s see what he can do in the middle of the Cardinals defense.  Odds are he will be better than anything fans saw from the position in 2018.
