6-4

6. Deone Bucannon, LB

2014 – 1st round, pick 27

The first of three players on this page that are no longer in Arizona, Bucannon was a decent pick at the back-half of the 2014 first round. He enjoyed plenty of success as a ‘money-backer’ (safety, linebacker hybrid) and was crucial to the prosperity of the James Betcher defenses. But after a poor showing in 2018, he fails to crack the top five.

5. John Brown, WR

2014 – 3rd round, pick 91

After catching 123 passes for 1,699 yards and 12 touchdowns during his first two NFL seasons, John Brown failed to provide the Arizona Cardinals with the big-plays his fans became accustomed to. However, that’s not quite all his fault as a sickle-cell trait and a spinal cyst derailed his 2016 season. After four years, Brown moved on and is now coming off a big year for the Baltimore Ravens. Despite his departure, Keim did an excellent job with the pick as he got a key-cog for the exciting 2015 Arians-Palmer offense.

4. Markus Golden, EDGE

2015 – 2nd round, pick 58

Once considered to be a valuable part of the Arizona Cardinals future, Markus Golden will be employed by the New York Giants for the 2019 season. But that doesn’t mean he was a bad pick at the end of the second round in 2015. During his time donning Cardinal Red, Golden proved to be an unrelenting edge defender; his 19.0 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, and 42 quarterback hits showed just that. However, his disappointing 2017 and ’18 seasons linked with his departure halt him from being third on this list.
