38-35

38. D.C. Jefferson, TE

2013 – 7th round, pick 219

Well, at least D.C. Jefferson produced at some (albeit minimal) capacity for the Arizona Cardinals. The former Rutgers Scarlett Knight played in four games in the desert in 2013 but failed to make an impact. Even worse; Keim cut Jefferson after the four games due to a DUI. After his stint with the Redbirds, Jefferson signed on with the Carolina Panthers yet didn’t produce. He’s been out of the NFL since 2014.

37. Walt Powell, WR

2014 – 6th round, pick 196

Once a promising ‘hidden-gem’ receiver out of Murray State, Powell failed to gain traction with the Arizona Cardinals. The 5-11 receiver never played a competitive snap in the desert as he was released after training camp. However, he stuck around the NFL for a few more seasons playing for four different teams and most recently being a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.

36. Marqui Christian, S

2016 – 5th round, pick 167

Like most players on the bottom of this list, Christian failed to play regular season snaps for the Arizona Cardinals and was cut shortly through his rookie season. But, he has found a home in the NFL with NFC West rivals’ Los Angeles Rams. The safety has played for the Rams for three seasons and was active for all 16 games for the 2018 NFC Champion Rams.

35. Gerald Christian, TE

2015 – 7th round, pick 256

‘Mr. Irrelevant’ in 2015, Gerald Christian was a final roster cut after tearing his MCL in the last pre-season game of the season. After a visit up north to Buffalo, Christian returned to the desert as a training camp member. The 27-year-old then played in the now-defunct AAF on the Arizona Hotshots.
