The Arizona Cardinals have already added to their roster in free agency, but that doesn’t count out a return for a few former Cardinals.

Since the middle of March, NFL teams across the nation have added and subtracted to their rosters. The Arizona Cardinals are certainly one of those teams, as they’ve added 14 players since the end of the 2018 season. Players from far and wide and come to the desert to bolster an improved roster, but what is left out is those that played in Phoenix just last season.

Former Arizona Cardinals including Deone Bucannon, Markus Golden, J.J. Nelson, and Antoine Bethea have already found new homes in the NFL. But, for the others, including names such as Tre Boston and Derrick Coleman, the going has been rough.

At this point of the off-season, teams have decided to shift their focus from the free-agency frenzy to the 2019 NFL Draft. As such, players have had an increasingly difficult time latching on other teams. For example, defensive lineman Rodney Gunter visited the Green Bay Packers but left without a deal; likely because of the depth of this year’s defensive line class.

While Tre Boston is likely out of ‘Zona for good, these four free agents may not be. However, remember that with the impending draft coupled with all of their free agent signings, the Cardinals may decide to take a wait-and-see approach on these free agents.
