The Arizona Cardinals shouldn’t bring these three players back for the 2019 season.

After finishing the 2018 season 3-13, the Arizona Cardinals were expected to clean house from their previous coaching regime, draft picks, and former free agency additions. So far, they’ve done just that as they’ve given Kliff Kingsbury the head coach position and have added 14 players to the mix in order to create a completely new atmosphere in the desert.

That roster reshaping should continue to take place by the process of addition by subtraction. So far, the team has done just that by not resigning former Cardinals turned free agents Markus Golden, Mike Iupati, and Olsen Pierre. They’ve also cut ties with Jermaine Gresham, Mike Glennon, Antoine Bethea, and surprisingly, Josh Bynes as well. Those subtractions should continue to reshape their roster.

Although the three mentioned players in this article may have produced during their time in Phoenix, they have either not done enough, already been replaced, or have regressed mightily. All these players were also starters or key players for the 2018 Arizona Cardinals, so don’t expect to see bench players including Daniel Munyer, Thurston Armbrister, or John Phillips on this list.
