The Arizona Cardinals will know the fate of their 2019 travels as of 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon
We’ll find out tomorrow whether the rumors of a Thanksgiving matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns is true or not? The NFL announced Tuesday morning the annual schedule release will take place on a Wednesday this year.
The last couple of years the schedule was released on the Thursday prior to the NFL Draft. We predicted when the Cardinals would play each opponent last week shortly after the release of the 2019 NFL preseason schedule.
The home schedule for the Cardinals is particularly intriguing. They have home dates against not only the Browns but also the Pittsburgh Steelers from the AFC North.
The NFC West divisional rivals as always are on the schedule home and away. It will be interesting to see which of the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, or Seattle Seahawks will be the Cardinals season finale and in which location.
The remaining home schedule includes dates with the Detroit Lions, who also visited in 2018, the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers. The last visits for either team was in 2013.
The road schedule isn’t exactly easy. The Cardinals have to travel back east this year. They play at the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Giants. Don’t be surprised to see a couple of those games back to back that might keep the Cardinals on the road for a couple of weeks.
They also travel to Florida to face former head coach Bruce Arians and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It would not be shocking to see this as a nationally televised game in some manner, whether it be a Monday or Thursday night.
Another tough trip will be to face the New Orleans Saints. Any game where you have to face Drew Brees and the Saints in the Superdome is bound to be a challenging day.
