Quinnen Williams – DL, Alabama

Mock rate: 14%

Mock drafters:

CBS – Pete Prisco

CBS – R.J. White

CBS – Will Brinson

Draft Network – Benjamin Solak

Draft Network – Kyle Crabbs

NFL, Cynthia Frelund

For The Win – Steven Ruiz

Notes: This shouldn’t be a surprise. After adding Brooks Reed and Terrell Suggs to an edge rushing unit that already has 2016 All-Pro Chandler Jones, Williams poses as a better fit with the 2019 Cardinals than edge rusher Nick Bosa.  He also may be the better prospect than the younger Bosa as he often draws comparisons to six-time Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy. Williams would also be a seamless fit within Vance Joseph’s ‘attacking’ 3-4 defense that should prioritize interior pass-rushing; which he brings, and then some.

Two of the Williams selections came at the Raiders’ pick No. 4. Both Pete Prisco of CBS and Steven Ruiz of For The Win had the Raiders trading up for a bevy of picks to draft Kyler Murray. In turn, the Cardinals selected Williams in both with the fourth selection.
