In this Arizona Cardinals mock draft, we draft players that are only from the Southern SEC football subdivision.

The SEC has been the cream of the crop for quite some time. Over the past decade, there have been 512 players selected in the NFL Draft, which is over a hundred more than the next closest being the ACC. This year’s crop of players is nothing short of their high, excellence based standards.

Although Alabama did nothing but disappoint in the College Football National Championship, they have produced a generational talent in interior defensive lineman Quinnen Williams. But this SEC class has much more, for example, Ole Miss’ absurd group of wide receivers and a bunch of quality edge rushers from elsewhere.

However, we do have rules for this mock draft, including;

  • No trading back picks.
  • Selections can only be made from SEC players only.
  • The player has to be broadly viewed as a candidate to be selected in their respective round.

The SEC will have a good amount of first-rounders this year and have two players I believe will be top-five picks, so this won’t be too tough. I’ve stuck with the Arizona Cardinals’ team-needs to distribute these players. If you were wondering what those team needs are looking like, they are something like this; offensive line, wide receiver, defensive front-seven, cornerback, and tight end.
