Travis Fulgham – WR, Old Dominion

As a walk-on at Old Dominion, Fulgham quickly turned into the Monarchs top outside target. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 215-pounds with a 4.58 second 40-yard-dash, 36.5-inch vertical, and 126-inch broad jump at the combine, Fulgham is a big-bodied prospect with athleticism to boot.

In 2018, Fulgham had his best season to date, tallying 63 receptions for 1,083 yards and nine touchdowns. Per Pro Football Focus, he had 18 deep pass receptions in 2018 (second in the class) for 572 yards (17th in the class). He’s a deep-threat receiver that makes up for a lack of speed with physicality and contested catch ability.

Fulgham has the ability to control where he’s going mid-air couple that with his athletic traits and solid hands and that equals an excellent catch-radius; which should make him a red-zone threat. He’s also one of the best run-blockers in the class and has a developed vertical route-tree.

But, as it currently stands, Fulgham is JUST a deep-threat and run-blocker, which means he sort of boom-or-bust as an X-receiver. His foot quickness could be sped up and he’s going to have a hard time creating separation against physical cornerbacks. However, his positives as an outside receiver may out-weigh his weaknesses as an inside receiver, he’s just not versatile.

Round projection: 4th-round, despite his limitations, Fulgham projects as a nice fit as an X-receiver, which is a team-need for the Cardinals.
