The Arizona Cardinals looked like a team that made mostly the right moves in free agency and in the NFL Draft but not everyone will turn out to be a gem

All the talk about what the Arizona Cardinals got right in free agency, trades, and the NFL Draft has all been warranted.  However, did they get everything right?  History says no but only time will tell us.

So who is in danger of being an offseason acquisition bust for the Cardinals?  We look at these five players.

Marcus Gilbert, OL

On the surface the trade for Gilbert seems like an exciting move.  Here comes a former member of a formidable Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line.

However Gilbert has played just 12 games over the last two seasons.  He played in just five in 2018.

While we all hope it will work out, the Cardinals recent track record with veteran pickups on the line hasn’t ended up roses, mainly pointing to last season.  Andre Smith was a bust and Justin Pugh ended the season injured but we can still be hopeful he will be a huge contributor if he can stay healthy.

That’s the worry with Gilbert though.  He’s only played a full 16 games twice since being drafted in 2011.
