The Arizona Cardinals lost a number of players in free agency in the offseason but some may have found themselves in better situations for themselves

When a team loses players in free agency, there are usually a number of reasons why.  The Arizona Cardinals lost their share in the offseason.

Some of those players though, found themselves in a situation where maybe the Cardinals did them a favor by allowing them to walk.  There were a couple of teams such as the New York Giants, and Oakland Raiders that were beneficiaries of former Cardinals.

These three players may benefit the most by being in a different uniform in 2019.  That is, based on how things look at the moment.

Deone Bucannon

No one may be in a better situation than Bucannon.  After being drafted by the Cardinals in the first round in 2014, he started out strong with the team.

Bruce Arians loved his toughness.  However he fell out of favor quickly once Arians left and was replaced by Steve Wilks.  He didn’t fit Wilks’ system nearly as much he did with Arians.

He was basically put in a position to fail.  Now Bucannon is reunited with Arians with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Bucannon has a chance to start over essentially.

If he had not gone to Tampa Bay, there is no telling where he would have fit in.  Arians returning to the NFL may have been the best thing for Bucannon’s career.
