The Arizona Cardinals have made some questionable transactions in previous offseasons

With only five weeks until the start of training camp, we grow closer to finding out what the Arizona Cardinals have with their offseason moves.  There have been some hits and some misses in general manager Steve Keim’s era.

These five guys were Keim’s biggest misses over the last six years.  The crop of players he has brought in during free agency this year has some high expectations on them, fair or not.

Andre Smith

When the offensive lineman came in last offseason from the Cincinnati Bengals, he too came in with high expectations.  The Cardinals offensive line has been patch work for the most part since Keim took over the reins as the general manager.

Smith was not very good however from the get go.  Sure, he made some plays here and there but for the most part he was a bust.

He also couldn’t stay healthy.  When you combine questionable health and inconsistency, that’s a bad mix.  It was just the start of what turned out to be one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, allowing starting quarterback Josh Rosen to be sacked 45 times.
