Certainly there is a lot of work to do for the 2019 Arizona Cardinals

Not much went right for the 2018 Arizona Cardinals.  However there were some statistics that were more glaringly bad than others.

When you go 3-13, not much is going to look right.  If the 2019 Arizona Cardinals focus on these stats, then there is a good chance there will be a big improvement in the win-loss record.

Sacks against

We’ve covered this stat several times this offseason.  Until the Cardinals offensive line can prove they can rectify giving up 52 quarterback sacks, it is a point to be hit home on over and over.

This was a horrible stat the unfortunately came up almost each week in 2018.  Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has tried to assemble a better offensive line in 2019.

The change in offensive scheme may help improve this number.  More importantly the quarterback should improve this number.

From the mere fact that rookie quarterback Kyler Murray will be running a lot, he may work himself out of a number of opportunities for the opposition to sack him.  There is also a different group of offensive linemen.

New additions like Desmond Harrison, Max Garcia, J.R. Sweezy, and Marcus Gilbert to go along with guys returning like D.J. Humphries and Justin Pugh, it could be interesting to see how it all works out.  Hopefully a trend downward with this stat in 2019.
