Scoring

It’s easy to see why this team only won three games last season, two of them against the San Francisco 49ers.  They only scored 225 points last season.  That is just 14.1 points per game.

Even Jacksonville’s anemic offense managed 15.3 points per game last season.  The Chiefs lead this category as well with 35.3 points per game.

You can’t be outscored by 200 points and expect to see a big number under the win column in the standings.  Six times the Cardinals were held to 10 points or fewer in a game last year.

Only four times did they reach at least 20 points last season.  They were 2-2 in those games.  The only game they won when scoring under 20 points was an 18-15 victory over the 49ers at home last October.

Meanwhile the Cardinals gave up 20 or more points 11 times last season.  They are trying to rectify that as well but it won’t all come at once.  The Cardinals may have to get into the business of scoring a lot of points to win.
